Another crazy hot day here. I tried to chill in the pool but that didn't even last long. Just too stinkin' hot.

Looking forward to seeing you again Skip. We need to have an 'Ol Farts get-together. I'm really psyched too. I'm jealous of you retired folks. Counting the days to that too.

Another heat advisory day here today. Miserable. Have a good week everyone.

Hubby subscribed to ancestry.com and we also both did the DNA test. Wow, amazing how quickly you can put your family tree together. Fascinating stuff. Lots of things I had heard about in my family tree, but didn't really know the details or accuracy.

My family tree goes all the way back to before America was America. Found out I'm eligible to become a member in the following Societies:

Daughters of American Colonists.

Daughters of the American Revolution.

Daughters of the War of 1812.

Daughters of Colonial Antebellum Bench and Bar

First Families of Texas

Descendants of Texas Rangers.

Daughters of Republic of Texas

No wonder I've always been such a proud American, it's in my blood! I was born and raised in the Great State of Texas and most of the names in my tree I had heard them mentioned, but wasn't really sure of any facts. Well it turns out that the Statue in downtown Corpus on the waterfront, Shoreline Dr., the man who settle southern Texas, he is my 7th Great Grandfather!

I'll be visiting next month so hubby said to be sure I get a picture of me standing next to the statue of my grandfather so we can add it to our tree! Definitely Cool.

Hubby's side, well he traced his Great Grandfather 8X back to being the first to arrive in America in the late 1600s. He was Captain of the Milice which means he was the Head Honcho in charge of establishing the settlement.

Boy, those were some tough as nails men back in the day. I can't even imagine spending three months on this little ship crossing the Atlantic and having no idea of what lies ahead. Brutal living conditions, bloody wars in treacherous terrain. Sure makes one realize how easy we have it today!

Impressive, and you're right about living conditions.

Hope it went well Rick.

I had a slow day today but got some things done. I did my mile on the track then my class after work. It is miserable outside. Just like a steam sauna but worse. I'm tired. We are supposed to get some rain tonight. I hope so. Everything is thirsty.

Jan and Skip should start a business.

Review was actually very good. However, a deduction was made.on my overall score for last month with no supporting documentation. So for now, we are ignoring it.
