I need help making a decision
Hello, I am looking to buy a 1985 Camaro sport. The body is in great condition. Never been driven in the winter. Its a automatic. The only problem is it makes a clunk noise when it gets put into drive. I am wondering if it is a terrible transmission problem that would cost me a lot or if it is just a loose connection in the drive train. I'm only 16 so I don't really know much about cars yet so I'm kinda leery about buying a car that I would have to put a new transmission in because of the cost. So i guess what I'm trying to ask is, is it worth it for me to buy this car? Does what I described sound like a major transmission problem or just a cheaper fix? Thank you! Any questions just ask please.

Sounds like bad U-joint. Cheap and easy fix. Seeing the age, I would lean toward that.
