Honestly, today's all-season tires aren't a huge compromise to a full summer set in terms of performance. I run Continental DWS on mine year round. I sold the factory P-Zeros within a week of buying my SS and mounted up the Contis. They performed well above my expectations thru the winter months. In the warmer months they've more than held their own in spirited driving. If I were going to push my car any harder I'd rather have a dedicated set(s) of track wheels either drag or road race. If the Contis can handle 90-99% of what I throw at them that solution makes more sense to me.
