Handheld Tune Help!
I have Bolt Ons, CAI, Porter TB, UD PUlley, and LT Headers.
From the headers I got a CEL and was wondering if any Handheld tunes can get rid of CEL or only dyno tunes can get rid of my Check engine light |

You need to fix the issue first... but my Diablo Intune's been clearing codes for me as needed.
Looks to me like it could be an O2 sensor issue. Add the extensions if you haven't already and clear the code... see if it comes back. |

Long Tube headers will apways cause a check engine light to come on, even with the O2 extensions it will just keep coming back if you clear it, idk what the handhelds are capable of but a dynotune or custom mail order tune can turn that code off and cause the check engine light to go away

As bsims89 said the CEL will keep coming on and with my experience even with the O2 sensor extensions. The only way to get rid of the light is to get a custom tune. The handheld programmer will not allow you to turn off the O2 sensors, only a tuner that has the supported program will be able to turn that off for you. Hope this helps. Thank you, Ricardo |

And most likely amongst the codes are delayed response from the front 02s as they are now farther away from their position on the exhaust from stock.... and this code even with the rears disabled will pop up...along with the rears throwing a code and needing disabled.

Sctx4 solved my CEL problem,it'll disable the rear 02's...has tune for LTH along with 93 Oct. removes speed limiter and AFM..all included with the sctx4 with nothing else to buy..You can also return it to the stock tune

The man speaks the truth the SCT X4 (#7416) for the camaro ss will turn off your rear o2 sensor code and the rest of the items quoted. If you are looking for a low cost option this is it. You can always purchase a custom tune from vendors and load it to your sct as it holds up to 10 custom tunes. Cheers! |
