Installation order?

Hello all,

I've got a 2015 ZL1 and I'm planning to order a Roto-Fab CAI as well as an Elite E2 Catch Can. (Single exit, no check valve, etc.)

I was just wondering if I should be worrying about the order of installation. i.e. Should I install the RotoFab first and then the catch can, or vice versa, or the order doesn't matter at all?

Not sure if there is any correlation between the two.

Just to let you know, I will not be installing these two items on the same day. One might be 2-3 weeks after the other.

I'm thinking the order doesn't matter, but just wanted to double check...

Thanks!

doesn't matter, however, Rotofab first then catch can makes more sense to me.

Do the catch can first, why let more gunk into the engine than necessary?

The rotofab install requires you to move the stock "clean side" little plastic catch so it would make more sense to do the Rotofab first. Otherwise, you may have to change the length of a hose, etc. These are minor quibbles...it really doesn't matter.

Respectfully, what are you talking about? CC and CAI are not linked on a ZL1, unless I've totally missed something. They are completely independent of each other, with respect to installation.

On a most typical catch can setup, you are correct. Only a "dirty side" catch is necessary which uses the valley & TB hookup. Some people run the "dual valve" unit that has a clean side hookup as well from the CAI that ditches the factory plastic "clean side catch" Sorry for not being specific.

I would have ordered RotoFab first and then catch can.
