So i have a 2010 Camero LS V6 6speed manual. 54k miles. I have had it since 30k miles. 1 previous owner.
I do not dump the clutch. Rather just put the pedal to the metal once clutch has engaged all the way and my foot off the pedal. Problem: One day, i get into the car and the clutch feels like there is no resistance pushing it down. Maybe its just me getting use to the clutch, i dont know. But i started the car and pushed the clutch down almost effortlessly. Now i have watched the and felt the car very closely sinse that day and the car does not seem to be affected, but it just has me worried. What, if anything, could be wrong? Thanks for your thoughts and time. -Iceriver19- |

Look at your brake fluid reservoir and make sure it is above the MIN line and see if the fluid looks dark. Just a couple of ideas and no you didn't do anything wrong that I am aware of!

Welcome to the GM crappy clutch system! ASAP and i mean ASAP, buy some quality dot 4 fluid (1.5 liters worth of Castrol SRF or Motul 600) and completely flush/refill the brake/clutch system.....or else....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is in your very near future.

So i figured out after several attempts at shops, that the pressure plate in the clutch assembly is broke.
I had to actually take it into the local Chevy dealership to find this out. Cost to replace this at the dealership here?? $1600. Replacement of entire clutch system? $2200. FML lol |
