Rust and melted diffuser
I was washing my car last week and discovered that my rear diffuser looked melted. So I looked under the car and saw a bus load of rust. I almost dropped a brick in my pants but I should be covered under warranty right? Has anybody had any similar problems.

If it's rusted through anything then you should be covered. I think it has to be perforated though, not just surface rust.

Have you had GFX or exhaust installed? There shouldn't be that kind of rust underneath the car. I feel for you because I would about drop a brick too. I would be on the horn right away with your dealer to find out about the warranty. I am curious to what has caused it. Keep us updated.

Dude, you have a ton of salt on the underside of your car. You are going to get surface rust like that if you do not keep the underside clean by washing off the salt.

Yeah, that road salt up there is going to rust anything out if not cleaned off.

Wow that is just terrible. I bet that is the reason is the road salt. I had a issue myself this past winter. I also have a 2013 mega cab ram 3500 Dually and I had taken it to the car wash to rinse it off. I saw this white stuff that look like cement under the drivers side fenders and thrown up on the running boards, bottom of the trucks doors etc. I sprayed and sprayed but the stuff wasn't budging at all. A long story short I went through 3 bottles of goof off and a ton of arm muscle scrubbing. Endless amount of money into the car wash just to get rid of it. It ate through the clear coating that was put on the truck from the factory on the front of the Dually fenders. I had never seen anything like it before.
I finally got it off the painted sections first and then the rest but it took a lot of time. In your case the salt makes sense underneath but I still am wondering which part shifted - the rear defuser or the exhaust to cause the tips to melt the defuser like it has.

Diffuser
Looks like someone was using the edge of the diffuser cut-outs to pry on the exaust tips to get them better centered. Doesn't look like melting to me. You can sand the blemishes out and no-one will ever know. Ask me how I know...

Has nothing to do with salt. I'm thinking there's a little more to this story.

Hmm now that you mention it - it does look more of some prying going on than melt.
