PennDot strikes again

First time running into this problem. I probably wouldn't have noticed if I had not did a walk around the car to check to see if tires were getting too much wear on the outside.

That's funny, the same Exact thing happened to My wife 2 weeks ago in her truck. PA must not have heaters to dry the paint?

That's the kind of stuff they've been doing in my area of the world. That's when they lay down some liquid asphalt and put gravel on it, then let people drive on it to pack it down. Nothing like driving your baby over that shit with gravel flying all over the place.

Seeing the stupid things that most DOT's end up doing to our cars pisses me off.

You live in Pa and don't know what he's referring to? They also call it tar and chipping. A-holes should be beat for allowing this practice. My buddy won't be seeing any of my nice cars show up at his house for awhile. They just did his road.

"Fresh oil and gravel" means I'm turning the hell around, car or motorcycle.

I don't even understand how its legal... I mean if I dumped a bunch of oil and gravel on the road I'd be littering and polluting. But magical DOT oil is just fine and dandy.

Also, many years ago I wrecked a Porsche Boxster at night on a road that was freshly oiled and chipped and signs were not placed. Way to go central PA! PennDot was going to bill me for the guardrail...
