Chevy switchblade transponder chip

Does anybody know if the chip is actually in the physical key or is it just on the board. I'm asking because I just switched my fob (unlock button fell out) and need to get it cut but not sure if it needs to be programmed because I just moved the board over to a new casing

Yes, if you swapped over the board you should be all set.
