Just order HP Tuners already so we can get a real tune in there.

Secondly due to the design of the injector they can't get a good seal in their testing machine therefore they won't be able to test the flow before and after cleaning. I am still going to have them cleaned and will go from there.

You are right they are great guys and very honest. They could have easily claimed to have tested and cleaned them and sent them back. I do feel bad since they are having so much trouble with them, if things would have gone smoother I def would have recommended them, just not sure if I should considering how difficult it has been for them, don't want them to get backed up on other worth because gm wanted to put the most difficult engine in our cars haha.
I save good take outs from both the LLT and LFX if you want some cheap.

Sounds like an electrical problem, should be no reason a tune will blow a ECU fuse.

So who is ready for some good news finally?

On that 1 pass I managed to make last week I was able to complete an 1/8th mile pass before I had the problem. I ran an 8.77 with a 2.26 60ft (traction was horrible with my DRs) I say that is good news because the last time I went to the track I ran a 8.74 with a 2.0 60ft when the car was running perfect.

I chalk that up as good news too! Lost over two tenths on the launch but still ran basically the same 1/8 mile.

1/4 to 1/4 that's got to be like picking up 3 or 4 tenths at least, I'd assume.

Yea the power is there just can't maintain it...

For anyone who is still following this finally managed to narrow down my lingering issues. They lie within the ECM its-self. 1 of 4 things are the problem:

1. The ECM has a bad ground, still need to check this out
2. The ECM isn't getting enough power to handle all system at heavy load (compare V at battery to V at ECM)
3. The tune went to crap and is causing the problem (remove tune and see if problem still happens)
4. The actual ECM itself is damaged (we tried taking it apart but the covers are adhered together it seems like)

If the problem is just a bad ground than great its an easy fix.

If the ECM isn't getting enough power hopefully it would be too hard to find the wire/s and fix/replace.

If the problem is the tune obviously the easiest solution is to just remove it. Only problem with this is when I replace Trifecta with HPT Beta I will have to go to the dealer to reflash the ecm since Trfiecta locks it for other programs.

If the problem is the ECM then I'll have to replace it with a new unit and then get it reprogrammed. Benefit of this is I then won't need to flash it back to stock and can get the HPT. A new ECM itself seems to be only $100, but no idea how much it would be to reprogram.

You should be able to load the stock tune with trifecta software, it is included with their tune.

Yea I've done it before. If I remember correctly I think someone said even with the stock tune back in there is a program within it that won't let other software access the ECM unless it gets flashed from a dealer. But I could be mistaken.

Mine allowed HP Tuners to read after being flashed to stock by Trifecta software, just force full flash. I also could read the IPF tune.
