My tips don't extend back really far, but plans are to put quads on at some point when I change the diffuser. This car is just a commuter for me, so any mods are only done based on sales. I put my fun money into my weekend car.
Having the cans pushed back on the hangers won't harm a thing, but you probably won't get the tips to stick way out. I wasn't doing it for the look... the quad tips will be for the look. What I want to figure out is if I remove the front resonator will they get raspy?
The extra space on the tip end will make the quad conversion WAY easier
Well, no more $288 deals I could find. Decision made for me. So, all things equal, it's the 11845 of course.

Maybe I'm totally of topic, but what happened to the touring axle back for the '14? When was the S TYPE released for the '14/'15?

How does it sound inside compared to the stock? I want an upgrade in sound without it being to loud inside at cruising speed.

At idle and low throttle there is a "solid audible platform" beneath you in the cabin, very satisfying as desired but not loud at all. Sort of there under you. More feeling it less "hearing" it. Stock lacked the feel and sound.

When you get on it, it's great! Almost dual mode'ish. At that point it is loud, but you hit the throttle so you get what you're asking for.

My Id wants it loud as hell, but my Super Ego says not all the time ... bridges that gap perfectly. I have a manual and love the combination.

Note it's about throttle, not RPMs. Also assuming the definition of drone is audible resonating around 2K ... none at all.

The real pleasure is the sound from behind ... really really nice.

I'll be producing my new app with an external rear facing microphone paired with the sound system so we can listen to our wonderful exhaust over the stereo inside the car. Gonna' call it "Exhaust Note". Want one? Why should everyone else enjoy the beauty of our beast?

Dual mode or axle back? The axle back from GMPP is Borla (confirmed).

That sounds great!

Do you have any drive by, light exceleration and hard exceleration? If not please try to make some. Would love to hear more of the sound dynamics of the system!

Great choice!

Im starting to think borla may be the right muffler for me if i dont go the super cheap route and only delete the muffllers.
i like the sound of a couple different camaro borla exhausts.
and
i recently put a borla straight thru can on my straight pipe 2006 ford f150 truck. it was nice and loud before i didnt think too loud but was a little conspicuous when hunting and starting it early in the morning for fear of waking the neighbors.
now it is much more subdued and not even a bit antisocial but still has some bassy grumble.

this is similar to what i want for my camaro. loud grumbly bass but no drone on highway or rasp when jumping on the throttle.

That's how my Camaro sounds- very low exhaust note- WAY deeper than stock. No drone.

Looking around online - a few shops are sellings the 11845 axle back exhaust as the touring model. Reading this thread, that seems to be a mistake. The 11845 is an S-Type?
