New tires and traction control

So I was on my way back from the shop that mounted my 315 invos, cruising about 70, gave it a lot of gas and the car surged for a half second and the traction control light started blinking. Why is this? There is no way I could spin them from 70 with a stock l99, I couldn't even do that with my bald pzero 275s.

If it's a brand new tire they have a coating on them that causes them to be slippery at first. The coating helps remove them from the mould. It's why when you get new motorcycle tires they tell you to take it easy for the first 50 miles or so. Could be that.

Or maybe they didn't relearn your tire sensors properly.

Most new car owner manuals specifically mention giving new tires a couple hundred easy miles to break them in.

Brand new replacement tires should be given the same treatment.

It is the Throttle Controller. Turn off traction control and do it and you will see the car pull like crazy and no bogging. You have your setting to high for the amount of air coming in.

I had mine a 7 and the car kept kicking in the nannies and bogging. Went to 6 and it was better but could bog it in 3rd at 55. 5 is the best setting they told me with my mods to have.

Similar thing happened to me the other day when i got new tires. Car slid all sideways and traction lights a going. It was raining out when I drove her home from getting them on. I was feaking out but then I was told they are new so that could happen due to the coating on them and being new.

Or maybe an appropriate speed for brand-new tires . . .
