Bought this 2014 a couple of weeks ago at the local Chevy dealership. I was unaware about the history of the color. I will say when I first saw it online I didn't like the color. In person for the test drive it looked a little more crimson depending on the angle of the sun. Before I could drive it off the lot as my new car, three people commented on the color. When I got home the color was the first thing some friends said they liked. The color has grown on me and I am glad I chose the car with this color ... not another one in this area. Unique.
