Do you know if open face helmet is ok with novice group for the road race? rather not buy a new helmet or fire suit right now.

Yes, I don't believe they mandate full face, just SA2005 for this year.

30. Helmet use is required during all non-highway segments of the event. Helmets must
have a SNELL rating SA2010 or newer (USCA will allow SA2005 helmets during
the 2015 season). Motorcycle or DOT helmets are not allowed under any
circumstances.

You do still need a neck collar, but they are like $25.00 off Saferacer.com, leather shoes and leather or fire resistant gloves for Novice.

I see Jordan Priestly signed up for Fontana, along with Bryan Johnson & Ken Thwaits...all we need now is Detroit Speed to sign up with the White Monster and you have all but one of the fastest 5th gens in one place....minus the L/28 with Danny, since he signed up in his Corvette...

Dannie, I see for novice group I need only long sleeve shirt and pants. I have the sfi shoes, but for auto x only and speed stop do I need sfi gloves also and neck collar? I didnt see it in the rules, just for road course

For Autox & Speed stop, you just need a Helmet, no other safety equipment...
just need the collar, gloves, shoes for Road Course
