For me, my spoiler is different, no diffuser, 1LE replicas (which are different when you see them side by side), and my hood wrap. I am taking mods I like from all models to make my car mine and different than the next AGM SS.

I get a kick of out of the poser thing... Up-badging a car is where anyone wil really get flamed. Beyond that, to me, just make it yours!

I agree 100%! I could not care less what someone else's car looks like. I find it funny when people falsely represent their car (either buy up-bagging or if I overheard you claiming you had a 1LE) but again I really don't care. We got our 1LE because of what it could do, not to impress anyone but us! I do love the apperance, but I more love its abilities.

Are you sure you're not mistaken? I thought the stickers gave 60 more HP.

In a way I'm posing, I added some 1LE badges.

That's actually fantastic looking in white. Do not see the problem especially if it's a 2012. People who put type r badges on a normal civic are posers.

Not posing, you just want the world to know that you're one better than an SS.

My story, and I will tell anyone who asks is that my wife wanted the auto since she cannot drive a manual and did not want me to teach her (though I know I could) so we had to go the L99 route and the 1LE is not available in a L99. But I want to do the suspension upgrades, etc. But it will never be a 1LE, but it may look similar to one and handle like one (eventually), but it is still my L99 SS that has some flair to it.

I get crap for putting RS badges on my car all the time from people like some of the posters in this thread and there's always someone who comes along and says why do you care what he does to his car as long as it's tasteful and not like some say SS badging on a V6 but i still get crap for my little RS badge which has nothing to do with performance or really trying to make it seem like it's more then it is.

It's a logical solution to the situation you faced. Does your wife enjoy the car? If she does, its a big win! My wife does not drive stick, will not learn how to drive stick, and damn sure does not want me involved if she did want to learn to drive stick! My wife likes the car and its looks, but hates if she is in it and I use it as it was intended to be used. As I said before, I think what you are doing is by no means posing, and your car looks great.

You can't do anything to your car without the Camaro police coming after you. I put the 45th stripes on my 2012 Camaro, may she rest in peace.

I don't consider this a "poseur" thing to do since it was the 45th anniversary year. I didn't put the stripes on to fool anyone, I just liked that way they look. It's not like I told anyone I had the "official" 45th anniversary package, but anyone who knows what the stripes mean would already know that since the car was silver...

It did cost me $3500 more, but the 1LE package caught my attention. The ZL1 was out of my range for where I wanted to be. So I got this from the ZL1: front hubs/bearings, rear shock mounts, NPP exhaust, steering wheel, shifter, 4 rimes, and 4 front tires. I like having a unique SS!

I don't think you are at all. If it's important to you for others to know what you have, I see nothing wrong with what you're doing. You are simply identifying what you actually have. No posing there.

The funny part here is that yea she enjoys driving it, but she does not just grab for the keys. LOL

I am waiting for that day. She can grab them when she wants to, but just prefers me to drive mostly.

Thanks for the compliments! It is a work in progress and I try to stay off of the couch with mods. I got my wheels as an early B-day gift last week and that has been the best appearance mod to date, plus that extra footprint makes a huge handling difference!
