Why won't my generator start?

I purchased it two years ago, ran it a couple of times to test it out, but it has not been run since then.

another thing to do is once every month or two, go out and fire it up and let it warm up to operating temps and put a load on it. most gensets have requirements for operation that include running operations.
also, maybe buy a battery tender for it so you aren't having to jump start it.

^this. My brother is in the business and says they tell people to run it once a month when the get their electric bill, just as a way to remind them.
