It's a utilitarian investment, even if it's only utility is the enjoyment that you get out of taking care of it. Is there a difference in saleable value between a car that has been garage kept vs. a car like mine that gets driven every day and used like an actual car? Of course there is. Do I care about that difference enough that I would keep my Camaro in the garage? No, not even close. I have no interest in a beater because my Camaro does everything I need it to do. |
