Sometimes it's good to work at a dealership.

I'm the foreman of my service department and I recently just got a 2014 1LE and have been doing research on what I'd like to do to it. The other day we got a 2SS 2010 in and I actually decided to look at it today. Turns out it's got a brand new roto-fab cai, long tubes and high flow cats. Talk to my used car manager and he's cool with me taking that stuff and putting it back to stock (previous owner left the stock parts in the trunk) SCORE!!!!!!

Questions: will I have any issues with the headers on my 2014? They are kooks. Also, does anyone know if it would effect drivability or CEL to leave whatever tune in the PCM? Anyone ever gone back to stock but left the tune in?

I KNOW, Right?!

Hoping to get an answer. Worst case I can take it to the gm dealership up the street and have a buddy reprogram the pcm back to stock.

That is some insane luck... I'm a technician at Cadillac/GMC and we've gotten a couple pre-owned 5th gens in as trades but man would I be happy to find something like that on a trade in haha.

Why would the owner not remove the mods and sell, especially since he still had the stock parts!!

the headers will work fine on your 14. get your 14 tuned or you will get a cel and your afr will be off. Put the stock tune back in the 10. Make sure the 10 doesnt have a Cam 1st.

I've scored some cool stuff over the years... sometimes the whole car
Congrats!
Best score I ever got was a sub/amp setup that nobody wanted- turned out to be an exotic brand and someone gave me $1000 for it.

I use to do that when I worked at the dealership :-) great perk, I started taking good tires and mounting old ones to the cars going to auction, taking stereo systems out and selling, :-) if you know the right people you can make lots of side cash at a dealer ^_^
