Well, finally! I sat in Champaign, IL for about 18 hours. Now I gotta try to figure out how to track it on the Union Pacific line.

Called U P again... I cannot get the computer to reconize my request. Here's what happens.. I call the 800 #, she asks What would you like to do? she then goes thru 5 options... Trace, Billing, Ramp, Storage, Reservations. I choose Trace. She asks How many pieces of equipment do you want to trace? I say 1. She says enter the Equipment # using letters & numbers. I start into ET... She says I'm sorry I dont reconize your request. She gives an example of the number ... as in UP XXXXXX.

Apparenty I need an UP #. ???????????

What am I doin' wrong???

Not sure...for the heck of it I tried your car # with voice porompts and the UP said your car was received in interchange in Salem, Ill

Woa...........wait!! Are you calling CSX? or Union Pacific?

CSX gives me the info you got... it's the UNION PACIFIC # that's the problem.

Man. Squirrell still hasn't picked up my vin and the car is in the states already. My window sticker isn't available online either. Oh well, I'll have the car before it shows up online. Ha!

Yeah... Some of you guys took tracking your car to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL!!!

Personally, I have no intention of calling the rail yard..
I just wanted to know it left/is about to leave.

I have waiting period # 2 about to start at Lingenfelter for the Supercharger and other goodies to be installed, and then it will be shipped to me.

I'll track that one.. It IS on Fed-ex Premier trucking. Nice and easy on the Fed-ex website.
