It's going to be even worse once the gen 6 cars start hitting the streets. The standard SS gen 6 car looks better or at least as good as the top model gen 5 cars in my opinion.

That's why I like my 1LE. There were 395,000 10-13' 5th gens built before the refresh. Of that, only a little more than 1,500 of them were 1LE cars. Past that, only 120 were Inferno Orange.
So, honestly, my car will always be special, LOL. Last public place I went to with it was Hooters. Couldn't get the door all the way open without someone remarking that the car looked badass. The 2010-13 was the body style that brought us back the Camaro. Just the same, I hope I don't fall totally in love with the 6th gen once I can play with one at the dealer. I already REALLY like it, and if I could get one in that blue with dual mode exhaust and the auto trans....oh yea. Last time I took it somewhere public

I pulled up to the pizza joint yesterday and these 2 girls were smiling and pointing as I pulled in.
The both said nice car as I walked in. I still get lots of love and had a lady say thats my dream car just last week. I think they are still special 5-6 years later.

Still getting love with ours as well... Still love seeing what others have done that may work on ours, but still love the attention to details.

I didn't buy mine to be special to anyone but me; I knew/got exactly what I wanted and am now in the process of 'personalizing' it the way I want; just as many other's on this forum have and are doing. If it turns heads (and it does) great, if I get comments (and I do) great, it's just icing on the cake and makes the smile I get every time I drive it a little bigger.

I can even beat the above statement I have 1 of only 28 1ss/1LE's in Rally Yellow

I dunno...5th gen will always be special to me, and I feel it is the best looking model since the original, (not including 6th gen).
Are stock 5th gens, lower than ZL1 or Z/28 anything "special"? No. But then again, what car is special (after they've been out for years) that isn't either a super/exotic, or a special hi-po version of a blue collar sports car ? None of them. So in that respect...that kind of special died long ago. What IS special to me are the guys that take the time to make their car unique, to make it different, and make it their own. Like the OPs. Those cars are special in their own unique way. I see a completely stock Camaro or Mustang driving down the road, and unless its showroom new looking, I might think they are nice, but that about does it. When I see something that looks unique and taken care of, it gets my attention no matter how old it is. That's my take on it. I'll be in a 2016 before long, but you can bet over time I will be modding it to make it my own, just like my 5th gen. My 5th gen got compliments right up until literally the very last time I drove it. The 2016 will be "special" b/c of the newness at first, but it will stay special over time b/c of what I do to it, and how I take care of it. ...and no, it isn't for attention. Its because of my enthusiasm for this awesome car!

I knew there would be some a-holes with stupid comments. I rarely post on this forum any more because of the personal attacks you get for no reason. It's certainly not just me that gets attacked, there is always some negative or personal attack on posts. This forum wasn't like that in the beginning. Oh yeah, thanks for the education Mr. Grammer.

There are other ways people show you the love, you just gotta pay attention. Every time someone revs their engine, passes you like a fool, turns their head to see you or rides in your blind spot, they are just taking notice - it is a compliment.
