I commend you because you had the guts to try and risk a cosmetic mod based on your desired look (It reminds me of myself a decade ago). I actually am dying to see a polish mod done to the OEM SSX ZL wheel. I am tempted to do this to the ssx wheel myself.

EDIT: Btw I am a huge fan of polished wheels. I don't like chrome on modern cars for 96% of wheels that this is done to.

Cudos to you; It looks good.

Nice !
I looked into polishing my 5-spokers.
But every company that I talked with was unsure of what the results would be.
Whether the painted sections would look too grainy when polished.
But now armed with your pictures, I have the answer !

They look very nice. I seen some on a Black ZL1 in Birmingham and actually the picture does not do these any justice verses how good they look in person.

I did my motorcycle wheels a long time ago, so much work, LOL then had a body shop clearcoat them.

Devils advocate here. Chrome is too bright, However. PVD Chrome might be the ticket.
I had my wheels done with PVD chrome back in 2010. Came out great.

Thing about PVD Chrome....If REAL chrome is 100% bright, I'd say PVD chrome is 90%
Picture below is PVD on a fugazy ZL1 5 spoke, bet the wheel would look better on a OEM wheel.

Well, thanks to the OP, I did re-do my wheels, but not polished...

Don't want to post pics here and hi-jack his thread so:
