Thing that I hate about it really is that it is not an individual option, but they are packaged together. Like with the SS, you can't get bluetooth unless you get leather seats. But with the LT you just need to get the connectivity package... Bogus.

Leather looks cooler though, so it's not a big deal, but it's a 3k upgrade.

I am new at reading GM'eze, but it looks like non-SS buyers will be impacted also as it suggests dealers to prioritize SS orders in front of other models.

Another qeustion perhaps someone savvy in GM speak can help on, I think my stripping option code is VYP, that is the white hockey stripe + the solid center stripe, both in White, I did not see that code mentioned, does anyone know if the new stripe process changes this, it was listed as dealer installed when I configured the car on the Camaro Customer web site?

Thanks!

I would take a look at the fine print on your sales contract, or the light print on the back of it, mine says the deal can change the price if the MSRP is changed by GM...

I know one thing for a fact, I will never ever never buy another car that I can't just drive off the lot, I don't car if it is a Vette for 50 cents!

This has been a real live and learn experience for me, but when I finally get my Camaro I will have my first story to go with it

I am not even his cutomer and he jumped in, that is a kind of person and Dealer that will truely help GM get back on top! Between his help and a friend at GM (GM putting the customer first) I think my saga will have a happy ending.

Thanks Scotty!!

OK, I'm brand new at this. I gave my dealer $1k on 8/29 for a 2SS. I called yesterday to get an order number and was told that there isn't one because of the production constraint on SS models. I've read about the constraint, but I'm, not sure it would prevent my dealer from submitting the order to GM. Is this guy BS'ing me?

Find another dealer who does have allocation and room for an SS. They haven't stopped making them...just slowed down. There are some great contributing dealers on this board with will give you a straight answer.

When he places the order it generates the WorkBench documents with your six digit order number, (allocation or not), and if you wait he can give you a copy before you walk out the door.

You will pretty much be at 1100 at that time... and maybe a long time, depending on his allocations.
