When I looked at mine, I though that perhaps it was just an unfinished fiberglass surface.

I guess so.. But regardless, when in doubt.... PLASTI DIP.


I didnt want to do too thick of a coat for overspray purposes, so i made one pass of black.


In my opinion, it looks better than it did, and now i havent damaged the coating of fiberglass if thats what it was. It looks much cleaner and better now

I did notice some of the cover was textured in spots so it does look a little weird in indoor lighting like pictured.
