dough thorleys a steal on summit

560 for shorites and 650 for full lenghth on summit. they are steal ceramic coated but having good numbers posted on thier dynos for shorties I might go this route I would like to go with stainless but jba has yet to post any dyno numbers for thier shorties. I dont know why summit is so much cheaper then the thorely site as they have they're shorties listed at 810 and lt at 963.

I thought they were mild-steel. It seems, except for SLP, no companies really coat anything less than 409-stainless, at least "stock", for them.

Kyle, they are 14 gauge mild steel

Full length (LTs):
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DTE-THY333Y-C/

shorties:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DTE-THY-336-C/

something to keep in mind is that these are both backordered.

the shipped price (what really matters) is $577.90 for the shorties and $651.64 (at least to my zipcode, might be different for you. make sure you check the shipped price)

also, check this thread.

and why do them list them for the camaro/ pontiac G8, none of the other brand G8 longtube headers would fit the camaro??

cus they've already proven that they'll swap over. not many others have tried to do the swap. tho if it bolts to an L92 head, it should work. just depends on if they have tried the swap or not and whether they want to market it as a Camaro/G8 header or market them separately

I remember reading on here +18 whp and +18 lb/ft somewhere for the DT shorties, but don't hold me to it.

actually all the other long tube header companies tried there g8 headers first on the camaro and they dont work,, the camaro has an oil cooler bolted to the side of the pan that hit a couple of the tubes, also the floor clearance was different from the G8 to the camaro

I got my DT shorty from autoanything. They have a coupon now for 10% and free shipping. I think the price there is 563 so you can get then delivered for about 510. I only had a 30 off coupon, still a good deal.
