Ah, the joy of not know what people mean when typing/texting/IM'ing etc. So, are you being serious or satirical? Do you think Pfadt headers are better/worse/similar to ARH? When I first started researching, and came across Pfadt, I really wanted a pair but learned they were going out of business. So, I bought my car, put the break-in miles on it and finally ordered my headers, ARH. Don't even have them on the car yet and saw this post. Anyway, I'm in the process of wrapping them now and will have them installed soon. I guess it doesn't really matter as this is my first true sports car and I'm not even sure if I could have felt the difference anyway.

From the pictures above, it looks like some type of connection pipe might be needed to connect up to the factory exhaust. I looked at the pictures on the Apex site and they have the 2 different options (Cat vs catless) but they are both integrated so you can't change your mind later. So, I guess a connection pipe will be needed to mate up???

Tri-y can work, but they have to be specifically tuned for a combo. You can't have a good off the shelf tri-y unless it was tuned specifically for a stock car. ARH and Kooks both posted why they don't make Tri-y headers. They can if you call and ask them, but they are built for specific setups and tuned for them.

They have been updated and time will tell. Like I said before, there is definitely no reason to regret an ARH purchase. They make awesome headers.

The Tri-Y design came about as a solution to the mid range loses seen with traditional 4-into-1 headers. More mid range power without sacrificing peak power is exactly what they are designed to do. GM now uses shorty Tri-Y headers on the C7 and 6th Gen Camaro straight from the factory.
It's usually to good to be true that one product has big gains in one area without sacrificing in another. But possible I guess. Do you know if there are any back to back comparisons on stock ZL1 and modded ZL1's for the headers. I believe GM uses those shorty headers you posted on the Z28 as well

Definitely gains over stock........ I was more interested in back to back comparisons between Kooks, ARH, and the Tri-Y.

Those kinds on tests get very expensive really fast unless the manufacturers agree to take part and provide the parts. Honestly, all three of them are outstanding products that produce great gains. You can't make a bad decision and that is why we offer all of them.
