if your state does inspections where the plug your car into a computer it will see that the CEL was tuned out and you will fail inspection, far as i know.

Never went catless before- but I've seen everything from O2 sensor simulators to disable CEL's. What's the best approach?

Read from post # 50 and on. It should answer all your questions as these parts are identical. Knocked 3 tenths off my ET with my bolt on choices. No tune. No CEL's.

I just got my catted downpipes from hooker and the quality from what I can see is very good. I'll probably have them installed this weekend.

These must be pretty new... they are definitely a money maker as there isn't much to them, smart move on their part.

I'm sure you guys wont have any issues with them.

Well they came in and I went to my preferred ship and the owner says he'd have to wait until Monday to install since I went around noon. He said it would need sufficient time to cool everything down. The pipes came with 4 block bolts and no gaskets and these can't be clamped. Shop owner also said he'd prefer I get gaskets from the dealer but if I couldnt they would try and re-use the stock gaskets. [IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

They look nice! The ARH ones did not comes with gaskets either, I reused my stock ones. the stock gaskets are reusable, you should have no issues.

I'm really considering these... can't decide if catless is a big enough advantage to be worth the hassle when inspection time comes.
Curious what stock exhaust with Borla axle back would sound like- if different at all.

for the less than mechanically savvy among us here, I take it the the little threaded ports, pre and post cats are were sensors would go. And if like what I read about the other custom exhaust options, where the sensors are placed determine if you would get the dreaded CEL ?

Finally got them installed and they sound great. Definite increase in volume and it feels a little better but that's probably in my head. I'll post videos later on today.
