Big Tire Noobie, your thoughts please...
Well I have had my new Mickey Thompson Comps for about a week now.
Mixed feelings, first off they feel heavy going down the road ,and a little Worley sound, kind of like a truck but very faint. My first choice was Falkens Azenas FK453, but went w/MT hoping to have more old school look to it, which it does achieve. This tire is just big looking anyway you look at it. Not sure if it is the beefier tread walls is what I feel, I know the pirelli tires had much tighter smaller treads, therefore may have lighter feel going done the road.. So does anyone have the Falken tires and is your feel about the same, do you like the look better than the MT tires, etc… I have 10.5 rims all for corners, with 275/305…Thanks. |

I felt I needed to reply back to my own post here.
Now that I have had these tires for a few months now I am really starting to like them. Not as loud as first few weeks and not as stiff feeling. Overall once things settle down and break in these tires feel very nice going down the road and are very responsive. I also have been caught in the rain, and no worries at all, they do exactly what all the videos claim they do, and handled the rain much better than factory tires did... ![]() ![]()
