I am getting a very odd whining noise when I am accelerating. It doesn't matter how fast I am going, it just whines. My car has 3k miles on it and this just started happening. I wonder if it is the belts or transmission.. or.. something.. I am not sure. Should I take it in and have it looked at? Also, my car shakes on idle. Would that be an engine mounting issue?

Check your Build sheet and make sure you didn't get a ZL1 by mistake. Seriously though take it in to your dealer.

Does it only do it with the a.c. on? If so, I have the same problem. My dealer out a new compressor in last week and it still whines. Just not as bad.

My 2014 v6 1LT RS, often whistles while maintaining speeds/cruising in the 40-60 range, however over that the road noise seems to drown it out. I figured it was just normal.
