Daily drivers vs weekend warriors

I bought mine as a toy as as well. I drive it mostly on weekends and occasional week nights when need a drive to clear my head/relax. Travel a lot for work but when in the office i have to park in a public garage. Spots are narrow and my DD gets dinged all the time, not to mention the recent rash of smash and grab break ins. Never take her out if there is a chance of rain and she goes in to hibernation late October and comes out some time in April(New England winters are rough need to wait for road repairs and the sand/salt to be washed off). She is a 2014 and has 2220 miles. Still looks like she just rolled off the show room floor.

WW and occasionally to work. Won't drive a dirty toy car so that curtails too much DD. Don't enjoy driving a car with nicks, scratches, dings or blemishes - I fix what I can and pay for the rest but it's more the time than money so parking it during the week saves me lots of time and a little money.

I put about 5,000 miles a year on my ZL1. I drive it after work every night and on weekends as long as the weather is not sloppy. I drive it all year as long as the roads are clean and dry. I commute 70 miles each day in bumper to bumper traffic with my other car. My ZL1 has just over 14,000 miles on it after almost 3 years and it still looks like it just came out of the Show Room! That's the way I Roll. If anyone doesn't like that, TOO.BAD

Mine is not a daily driver - the deck I park in is too narrow - but it does every road trip. Two years, 15k miles almost all of them long-distance GT miles. On and off ramps are fun, magnetic shocks are awesome and I enjoy the drive instead of dreading it like I would in a pedestrian car. Always garaged!

Mine too is a WW. I have a company truck I drive during the week.....2013 and she has 4700 miles.

Since my poor car has to sit for about 2 months at a time while I am away at work when I get home I DRIVE IT EVERYWHERE...EVERYDAY!!! I make excuses to drive to other cities, other states, anything so I can find a highway and open her up! I have a F150, a sedan, and a 87 Grand National, all of which pretty much sit while I am home. My ZL1 is my favorite, so it is my daily driver.

I'll only own cars I cannot wait to drive. The ZL1 isn't my only car, but it is my chosen DD because it's the most comfortable to commute in. 11K miles in 7 months. Every commute is a joy.

Very well put as I never understood the whole buy and garage it with these type of cars. I mean, I have a nice commuter that I could take every morning, and my wife has the kid hauler SUV, but I grab the keys to the Z everyday unless it's raining and that ain't very often in this SoCal drought.

Yes, its a spammer. Typically, if they have 4 posts, copy & paste from a previous post, drive a BMW, are from the UK, and have some random keyboard-mash as a username ... its a spammer.

Report them (I don't recall getting a report for this one, kinda found it by accident) & we can come in and ban them + delete the posts. And please do not quote them, it just makes for more posts that we need to delete.

Daily driver and a weekend warrior. Rock chips, scratchs, and all. I bought it to drive after having my SS that sat in the garage more than I drove it (car payment on a car that just sits there wasn't sitting too well with me). This is one of the very few cars that I am comfortable with to load up the trunk, drive 500+ miles, run a road course / track day, load the car back up, and drive it back home without issues or hesitation. Comfortable ride and and hold its own on a road course / track.
