Pipe down, ya kiddies

If someone comments about another car being "so and so" faster than my V6... I'll explain how if I put the price difference into modifications, the Camaro has a good chance to blow them away.

Like the maybe $32,000 Gt Mustang, vs $23,000 LFX engine. A $9,000 difference sounds like a decent Turbo or Supercharger to me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the GT make about 360 rwhp? My mods cost about $2,500, and the dyno suggested 294 hp. hrm

What are the possibilities of spending the difference from a $60,000 Hellcat?

There is always someone somewhere with something faster. Buy what you like, be happy that other people like their choice and don't judge people. Any time I see someone 'into' their car, I'm happy that they are car people at all.

I always get the mustangs new and crappy ones revving their engines at me when at a stop light. Like they’re out to prove something. I mostly ignore them, I’m not 21 anymore. I know how fast my camaro goes, no need to prove anyone of that. Kids love it though, they always point at it and twist their neck as do teenagers.

There is a lot of really good info here.....I wanted to be emissions friendly and have no issues with cels when modding my car. If not for this site I would have been in the dark on how to do it. On a negative note I do see a lot of false info being posted here....most of it comes from not really knowing the facts when trying to help others . A lot if bickering that I kinda think makes for a environment that makes you prove what you post. Really entertaining unless I'm involved. And can we solve most problems when it comes to other members issues regarding cars or anything else. We should be solving crime with some of the fine detective work I've seen here. It's all about opinion....and everyone has one......wether we like it or not.

Doesn't matter what you buy, there's always going to be 'those people' out there. I bought an SS and I've had people ask me why I didn't buy a ZL1 ... my answer is "because I bought the one I liked & wanted, not one to impress you"

I always get you should've got the v8 and I always say 350hp is good enough for me. I'm old with a family, I don't race anymore,so I'm good with v6. Enough power for me. It's always that guy with the shitty ride. In my mind, I'm like get the hell out of here and ride out in your bucket lol...

At a car meet, a guy asked after looking at the engine if it was a straight eight.

One thing the Camaro, Mustang, and Challenger always have going for them is a unique and iconic AMERICAN look to them. They stand out in traffic from a long distance in a sea of Asian and Euro look alike grocery getters, SUV's and wind tunnel pellets. Few rides short of a red Ferrari will turn heads as consistently as a "pony car" in nearly any color.

A few times people have asked me questions about it at a gas station and I could tell they were going to be negative ... I quickly said "it is stolen so I am not really sure" and hopped back in and took off.

You should have told him yes and qualified it with "the gay 8 is only an optoin in the Mustang."

I like that-- I once had a friend get out of an armed carjacking by telling the guy he just jacked the car and he thinks the cops are coming.
