Yes, we do all of the traveling, visiting, phone calls, and follow up. It's like we moved to a different country. The only extended family we've had visits from have been on my wife's side, none from my side. I especially like my cousin who said, " We love coming to Phoenix frequently to go golfing", but they haven't been here in 6 years. I could go on, but won't.

But I'm OK now. Life goes on, and I am off tomorrow.
Haven't really had that situation happen as far as the funeral, but because we moved away (27 years ago) we are generally the ones who travel back home, but I know that's partially because they didn't have the resources we did.

Good morning. Headed to my new school today. Just a couple of kids to see so far then hopefully I can meet with the principal & guidance counselor to try to get more referrals. Then back to the office this afternoon for a few sessions. Happy Friday everyone. Have a great holiday weekend & if traveling, be safe.

Sounds like fun.

I got my throttle controller in the mail yesterday that I got from a C5 friend. Just had to pay shipping. I guess I'll try to get it installed this weekend. To tell the truth, I am a bit anxious about this one but something to play with & we shall see.

I just got back from the new school & got to see one kid there. The other one I was going to see had just left for a dentist appt. I met with the guidance counselor & assistant principal & it sounds like they are excited to get me going seeing kids there. My supervisor is meeting with the other school in Tuesday so hopefully, I can get started there soon too.

Spent the last 2 evenings getting the Camaro ready for a show tomorrow. This is a big show expecting between 800 and 1000 cars. Did a complete interior cleaning and detail yesterday and cleaned the exterior and engine bay tonight. Its so clean now I wish I could just put it in a bubble and transport it to the show LOL.

Tomorrow I have an appointment at the local GM dealer at the cottage to get the OnStar harness upgrade that us Canadians have to do by year end . Because the car is so clean I took the leaf blower out on the road to get rid of some puddles, crazy car guy ha ha

Wow, we all worked on cars today. We are definitely "car people". I installed new trunk weatherstrip on the Impala. Felt bad about scraping the original stuff off, but it was not sealing the trunk lid.

Jan, I would like to hear your thoughts on that throttle controller. I may get one eventually, but hope I don't have any of the problems others are having.

Have to do, as in mandatory? Do you know what this upgrade is trying to fix?

Good luck at the show [Ron] I will miss it 4 the first time. But at 70 I just don't feel like doing a 350 mile day of driving and taking 16 hrs. total.

Canadian wireless network is changing from 2g to 4g network , if we don't do it by year end onstar will not work . they are doing the upgrade for free . they originally wanted you to sign up for 1 yr prepaid , however have changed their tune now . No prepayment and only pay for the months you use the service . I suspend the service when the car is in storage. My wife uses onstar a lot with her car so I like the idea now of not prepaying for two cars . Just waiting for GM to say they have the harness for her car then it can be done . I suspect next year they won't offer it for free .

Rick the Impala looks great !

Yeah, I am not at all sure about the throttle controller but since it was basicaly free, I thought......why not give it a try. If I don't like it, I can always take it off & pass it on to someone else.

It was a fairly busy day. Got quite a bit accomplished. I guess I am going to shoot for being done with Nashville by mid month or at latest by the 3rd week of Sept.

We don't have any specific plans for the weekend. Just playing it as it comes.

Looking good! Going to a car show myself tomorrow in Clayton, GA. Going to Dollywood Sunday with the grandkids and daughter. Nice place for families. Had a busy week at work and ready for the 3 day weekend. Have fun and watch the puddles.

You'll enjoy Dollywood. Lots of other stuff to do in the area too.

Good Saturday morning. Slept in late & it felt good. I might play around with the throttle controller today. Not sure what else. Sometimes it is nice to not really have an agenda.
