Yeah, me too. But when I contact a dealer, "Oh, you don't qualify for that."

See a car $17K under MSRP but I need to be a recent graduate, in the military, with a competitive lease, and an employee ... and who knows what else.

I get tired of looking. Walk in serious, leave disgusted. Sorry GM, moving on in the spring.

New A/C cars for 62000 is the lowest I've heard anyone claim and that could just be a tad bit of bullshit, better negotiators then me.

If that's true then I guess a non A/C car is knocking on the door of $59,999

Great for anyone who waited.

Rough if you paid $75k

Expensive at $76,000, yes. But for the same price as a ZL1, there is no comparison, the Z/28 wins every time.
Nope.. the ZL1 is out the door at 60K

I meant the price for a new z28 is not 60K, more like 70k when you add taxes and licenses fees. Believe I would have both if I could, the Z28 is an awesome car!!!

Z28 HLR,
Hey no worries!
If I had not bought a 1LE back in 2013, I probably would have bought a Z28. Reason being, I got spoiled by the creature comforts in the 1LE. So when I made the decision to upgrade, the ZL1 won the vote (my wife)!!!

I know now a days alot of people have the means to buy a 72k toy,but Ive felt from the first time Z/28 was rumored that GM shortchanged many lifelong chevy/camaro lovers by putting it beyond range.Originally only 602 were made, after that it was a affordable option in the 70s-90s

And that is the reason why soo many were put off by the new offering. The masses wanted the name plate. Very few can remember the rawness of the 67-73, then came the 78-02 Z28 sticker cars, with good handling, creature comforts and low HP (par for the time). 5th gen comes along (w/new gen tech), and combines yesteryear amenities with supercar braking, and a monster 427.

I still believe that the 1LE should have been the "sticker" Z28, and the current Z/28 been a strictly 1500 unit supercar killer. As it is, they over produced these cars, and I suspect at even 2500 built, long term value will be slow to mature.
