What is That?

Do you ever get that comment from people not aware that Chevy made a 580 HP Camaro?

"are you sure the ZL1 is 580hp? I thought they were 420hp". I thought the Z/28 had more hp than the ZL1

I had a guy at a car show last year tell that there is no way GM built a ZL-1. He also went on to ask me where is the carburator and what is that box looking thing on the top.

I stopped at a gas station last night and there were a bunch of late teens, maybe early 20s all standing around their cars, which included a Lancer Evo, a couple Subarus, an old cavalier, and an old Saab. The one guy asked me if my car has a V8. Of course I told them what it has. Then they wanted to see under the hood and the one guy asked me why my intake was in a trophy box. Then another chimed in and states that he knows a guy with a 350hp Evo that walked "a car like mine" before. Then the kid with the Saab came up and asked me if he put a turbo on his car, would it make it faster? Another one said that my car is limited to 126mph...

Too much stupid for one night.

When I went to my back for financing, the people there couldn't believe that there was a Camaro that was so expensive.

When I left, I looked back at the bank, and they were standing in the window watching me leave.

When our club had our annual Camaro Car show in Kemah a couple walk by and the girl says "oooh look at all the cars, it must be a show. The funny thing wasn't that, it was what the guy said next. " Yea they are Corvettes". There were about 60 CAMAROS. Dumb ass could even read the side of the car and didn't even know the difference between the two to begin with.

One of the funnier comments was at a local meet and greet. I have a vert. After closely looking the car over he asserted stonglythat Chevy never made a ZL1 vert. Go figure.
