I recently turned in my Air Force Veteran plates due to being 'harassed' on a regular basis. Whenever we went anywhere, especially in Vegas, we would often be approached by someone claiming to be a Vet (& I'm sure some where) with a line like 'it's obvious by your plates your a fellow Veteran, could you help a brother in need". Or we'd have someone come up asking us to give to Wounded Warriors...I support WW & checked with theme about street solicitors; they don't use/sponsor them. When I went to DMV to replace my plates, the first thing the lady asked was if was turning them in because I was tired of being harassed ... according to her, they had seen an increase in Veteran plates being turned in for this reason over the past year or so.

Interesting. Must be a Nevada thing. I've had Air Force Veteran tags on all my cars for many years and have NEVER been harassed. Maybe I just look poor!

Panhandling used to be illegal in Texas. As a matter of fact, I think it still is. But we can't enforce it nowadays because someone might be offended.

Had them on my vehicles for several years; it's was only the last year or so it started (2013/2014)...

Yep - the whole Country is feeling the effects of "hope and change".

Most everyone I have talked too believe the yellow cars attract insects more than any other color.

For some reason, Birds, Bugs and insects love IOM. I guess that they think it's a huge Pumpkin or Tomato. Have no clue why IOM attracts so many pest but it is annoying.

Society? I'm sure we can narrow it down further, but no politics here, bummer.

Also, I've always heard birds like to crap over blue cars because they think they are over water. Dumb I know.

Keep seeing Hummingbirds flying around the Camaro - must think it is a big flower.

Quite funny. Hummers are attracted to anything that is red because the red flowers give the most nectar.
