Maybe some one can give me a rough estimate and some answers. Don't mean to thread jack but I'm in the same boat. I have a 14 1LS have intake and exhaust with VTC. ARH test pipes (no cats) will be my next upgrade. I'd like to know what kind of rwhp and tq I'd put down? Would IPF also be able to tune for 3.73 gears? Would it work with my VTC?

I've considered the ported manifold I think jacfab had them for the LFX and a ported throttle body couldn't hurt but i dont believe there is a huge gain there. I ultimately want to go with an IPS kit and will most likely sell certain bolt ons when I go that route. What would the advantage of an ipf tune be vs something like say HP tuners? And a off topic question would a ported throttle body or manifold hurt anything when I go FI down the road?

Thanks man. I looked into the manifold a while back along with the spacer(which is suppose to deliver an extra bump in power)it's just slipped my mind for a while. anyone know the price difference of HP tuners to IPF?

They may be a "canned" tune, so to speak, but once you've done tunes for all the common bolt-ons is it really necessary to have a custom tune?

Hmm if that's the case maybe I should talk to lethal first and see what they would charge for a dyno tune. I mean the CEL from the cat less pipes I'm installing won't hurt anything, it'll just be a little annoying for a bit, lethal could tune the car and add the 3.73 gears all at once. And if everything goes smoothly I'll for surrender them do my turbo install when it comes time. I think I have a lot to consider.

I don't think canned tunes leave a lot on the table. The extra cost for maybe 1hp, maybe 2... I look at the same cars over and over with stock tunes and the trims are never significantly different between them. The acceptable values are a wide range, but 99% of the cars run within a very close range to each other. I really don't think if you took two Camaros with the same bolt-ons, you'd find that they would differ in any substantial way from each other in the tune required... especially when talking about a $250 file vs. a $600 file.

Well right but can't hp tuners be used for more things than an ipf tune? Such as adjusting for gears? It'd work better for my future turbo set up.

Our "canned tune" has hundreds of R&D hours, proprietary technology, GM factory trained engineering and 100's of dyno runs... I would be comfortable to say that any "custom" dyno tune with 3 pulls is not using even close to the amount of data and, engineering and experience we have invested. When it comes to custom builds, major mods and forced induction, sure a live dyno tune is a better bet. But for mild bolt-ons... I'd say we have it pretty nailed and don't leave much on the table at all.

Cool, so when can I talk to you about getting a tune?

Sweet! Thanks for getting back to us. Earlier you mentioned the IPF tune just clears the CEL with the Solo High Flow Cats. Is that all the tune does in regards to this bolt-on mod or does the tune take advantage of the extra power potential they could provide? Thanks!

Highly knowledgeable, treat your car as if it was theirs and explain everything in detail. Great showroom and the cleanest, most organized garage I have ever seen. I see you're in SD so that would be a bit of a drive. If you have a free day and are willing do it, I highly recommend it. I actually have Nick's personal number so if you are really interested, let me know and I can give it to you via PM. The tune takes a bout an hour to an hour and a half to do and they will ask you for your VIN about 2-3 days before your tune date. My buddy at work had his done there also and now I have 2 more co-workers that are looking to get it done as well. Make sure you are running 91 octane gas for at least 2 weeks or more before your tune because this tune requires 91 or higher only. Also let them know if you have any CEL's that way they can download the correct programs to turn them off. At the minimum you will need a cold air intake and good flowing exhaust to realize the best gains with this tune. They don't advertise it on their webpage but they also do a TCU tune that I was told was just incredible if you have an automatic transmission. Good luck whatever your decision and hope this info helps. My car was actually featured on their Facebook page last year in September. If I'm not mistaken, they were one of the first one's to supercharge a V6 Camaro using the IPF supercharger. That car was a synergy green one driven by Mike Doescher who personally tuned my car (see attached pics). Great guy, he even did a courtesy drive afterwards and showed me how the IPF power tune had transformed the performance and responsiveness of my vehicle. If anyone knows anything about V6 Camaro's it's this guy. He's worked on them, supercharged them and driven them. I attached some pictures of them tuning my car in their showroom.
Pm you. Thanks
