These look great, but to me it just doesn't look right having one lug different than the rest. Would it be overkill to buy 5 of these sets? So that they all match? Or is that just a ridiculous waste of money?

Thanks for the tip, I'll be ordering these tonight

Oh also, how many keys does it come with? Just 1 key per set?

1 key per set my friend. If you're looking at putting them on ALL the lugs, I believe they sell a set of 20 keyed alike. Otherwise you're looking at a bunch of different keys since these come in sets of 4 (61641) and there are 5 lugs on a wheel...

Good point about the different keys, somehow I forgot about that... 5 different keys sure would be secure, but wow what a pain in the ass that would be when you actually need to get that wheel off, haha...

I don't see that particular one in a set of 20 (at least not on Amazon). And those other ones that were posted, I just think those are too narrow and kinda odd-looking (at least for my taste I guess).

I like the ones you have though, and they look like they're even more secure. So I think I'll just stick with the 4-pack and be done with it.

Thanks again

Wheels I would guess would be around 70-80 so most likely the same on the locks. They do act as a lug so should be tightened to the same spec.

In looking at other threads on torques, there was some debate on using the manual's recommendation of 140 vs 100 so I just wanted to see how y'all were installing them.

As far as I'm concerned, that's overtightening a lug. Just my opinion. Everyone is so worried about the aluminum rims that they want to tighten the piss out of them instead of torquing them down and then retorquing them a day or two later after everything has seated. IMO, 80 is plenty to torque a lugnut.

Plus, I think people are getting confused (what a surprise). 140 is the Nm specification equivalent to 100 ft.lbs. It's listed in both specs and people just don't read.

Interesting. I find it odd that when people are talking torque they don't specify the unit. I was thinking 140 was ft. lbs. I even called up Discount Tire and they just told me GM recommends 140...no mention of unit. I think I'm torquing to 100 ft. lbs. and calling it good. Thanks for the info!!

If you check page 11-3 in the owner's manual, it states 190 Nm or 140 Ft lbs. for torque recommendation.

Yeah after thinking it about it some more I decided to do what I should have done in the first place; follow the manual. So mine are all torqued to 140 ft lbs. I'm sure most folks in the biz speak in ft lbs and not in Nm.
