Buying a battery is not like buying a car where you can tell the difference of one versus the other after purchase .....until it dies and you know how many years you got out of it. Typical life for a battery regardless of warranty is 3 years, any more is a bonus, and most will work just fine until they don't. Pick one, put it in and forget about it.

That's how old my '10 SS battery was when I replaced it as a precaution last year. I had a
brand new Buick a few years ago- OEM factory battery pooped out in under 2 years.

I wouldn't think too hard about it. If you want OEM parts, AC Delco, otherwise the NAPA or Interstate would be my choice. In my experience in the heat of the south, a battery is good for just about three years, regardless of the manufacturer. I've had all three brands in various vehicles and they all seem to have similar lifespans. To me, a battery is a consumable part, just like brakes and tires. Don't buy cheap parts, but don't stress about finding the perfect part that will last forever, either.

Interstate, AC Delco are great batteries. I've also had great luck with Duralast Gold batteries too.

Dont really have time to order online so if anyone has any input on the NAPA brand and the SuperStar from Oreilly i would appreciate it.
Deka / East Penn makes the premium Oreilly battery, very reputable high quality maker (OEM Cummins)

PepBoys has occasional sales on Bosch batteries. For the 01 BMW M5 the battery was like 180, ended up getting it for like 95. Might help that we are a parts store but they have great sales compared to other shops. I personally like the NAPA batteries in terms of reliability but that pro-rated warranty crap sucks.
AC Delco makes good batteries.

Is that the price for the NAPA Legend Premium or the NAPA Legend battery? Both have the same warranty, just a difference of CCA. If you're local I'd help you out on the battery price a bit, probably closer to $160 if it's not the premium.

I don't like interstate batteries, I personally have seen a lot go out too soon. Might just be my like

Only 2 manufactures. Exide or Interstate I believe.

I know it sounds crazy, but over many, many years, I have had bad luck with any brand except the OEM battery from the dealer. For me, they last the longest. I know, it sounds crazy. But, I've tried all the other brands.

Original for different manufacturers means many different things. Many times the battery that comes with the new car is the worst one, I know for sure the local dealers always get screwed into older batteries, especially since those cars sit on lots for months even years before being sold.

It's not as if Chevy makes the battery, but of course I agree that Delco batteries are great. Same can't be said of all manufacturers OE choice batteries

Went with: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006N91C2M

Works great, has 100 more CCA's than factory (which I had always thought was an AGM but turns out my 2012 was still using the wet cell). Only 'issue' is the vent tube location (might even be a dummy hole to place the tube since I thought AGM's don't need venting) is not the same and I had to cut the battery cover a bit, which is interesting.

Got mine from the dealer it's an Exide. Strang that a Chevy dealer would not have AC Delco as the replacement. They gave me a lifetime replacement warranty so I couldn't pass it up. Paid a little extra for it but won't ever have to pay for another one.

Diehard Gold last month on sale was around $160 or $170 so I bought one just to be safe. Deka makes most of the batteries regardless of the name on the cover.
