dragrace sway bar question
I'm looking at buying the spohn rear drag race sway bar. A couple of questions.
First, does it make a noticeable difference? Second, would I be better off buying the front and rear regular swaybars that are more for handling then I would be just the one for the rear? Thanks

A beefy rear bar won't help an IRS car nearly as much as it would a stick axle car like mine. If it is mounted to the body not the cradle) you might get a little help from it as long as you're still running the OE subframe bushings. If it mounts to the subframe or if you have upgraded your subframe bushings, all it will do is add a little weight over the drive wheels (more traction but more weight to push).
If you can't notice the car rolling over to the right on launch from the engine's torque reaction, disconnecting or even eliminating the front bar for the dragstrip won't help except for the weight reduction in the latter situation. So you might as well choose the bars for handling and avoid any messing with them once you've got their settings dialed in to your liking. Norm
