Belt broke at 6k on OEM tires - Replacement?

What is the consensus these days for replacing OEM tires?

Is there anything out there that fits but is perhaps a little more forgiving temp wise and a little longer lasting?

Tire rack only shows:

EAGLE F1 SUPERCAR G: 2 (OEM - not really highly rated)
P ZERO
G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S
VENTUS R-S3 (VERSION 2) (Hankooks)

And that's it.

Leaning toward PZeroes but only if there isn't anything a little more friendly . . .

Live in the Northeast, baby the car, no track, no hotrodding . . . . and would like to not kill myself or ruin the tires when the temp dips below 50 degrees F.

Don't put P Zeros on your car if you want something friendly for colder temps. The BFGs are brand new in this size, but I've had them on other vehicles. If you're open to playing with sizes, it opens you to a ton of options like Toyo Proxes, Continental Extremes etc. in All Season options. Won't have the summer grip, but that doesn't really matter under 50 degrees.

Check out the offerings from Toyo. I've got Toyo Proxies. High treadwear rating and great in cold temps. Nice all season tire at a reasonable price.

I was looking at the VENTUS R-S3's for when my Goodyears crap out. They have good reviews and seem to have better everything compared to the stock GY's based on the comments on tirerack.

125 bucks at any discount tire for lifetime coverage and balancing and you would be having this conversation right now..

I finally jumped on that offer the last time I bought new Goodyear F-1 tires. I have used the re-balancing offer already!

Most people don't realize you don't have to buy the tires from them, just get a rotation, or balance, and then add the warranty.

285/315 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. You will love the grip. 295 will protrude at the top of the wheelwell arch.

Yes, I have a second set of wheels MRR228 and took them in for a re-balancing and did not buy them there.
