The ZL1 would most likely have the biggest grille opening since it requires the most cooling.

Yes, many argued this point after first video was released, in that video whine was not heard - but myself and others argued everything about the front clip and the heat extractor on the hood screamed FI motor. With the release of this latest video the whine seals the deal.

Now, the only question remains will GM absorb the ZL1 into the a Z28 and have a FI power plant in a Z28? Some speculate that - but I think that this will be the ZL1 with LT4 power plant.

LT4

I saw somewhere last month that the 2017 ZL1 was slated to get the current LT4 650HP engine thats currently in the new Z06.

I'm sure this next gen ZL1 will be faster, handle better, have a nicer interior. Still can't get right with that front end and overall looks compared to our current Rides. Even in camo the current ZL1 looked Wicked and better than what I'm seeing here.

When it runs mid 11's bone stock with a tire, I'll probably change my mind.

With what Caddy has done with the next gen V and all LT4 cooling packaging issues solved, current Z07 owners will be purely pissed off. This Camaro may do worse with this lighter tighter chassis. That will be the real challenge for GM. It can't run faster than their best Vette. Fun times ahead regardless.

Sounds like a healthy exhaust system to me. I caught the cue times pointed out but they sound normal for that kind of acceleration point for any kind of muscle car. Personally thinking if it was supercharged the note would be longer and consistent since I make mine growl longer doing way less than that.

More cooling space does not always have to mean supercharged/turbo in my world. NA engines like cooling as well for the long haul which is a track focused characteristic. I swear those tires look like 12's???

I have a 2014 zl1 and it can't put all the power to the ground. 600+ sounds nice but not if its just for 50mph and above.

I have no doubt if the next ZL1 has the LT4, it will out perform the current ZL1, my question is will it out perform the next GT500......... Let's not forget what happen in 2012, and I'm not talking about a road course... I'm willing to bet the next GT500 will have MagnaRide, and a new rear end... I don't think 640Hp is not going to get it done with the new GT500 coming... what's scary is that, not a peep on the GT500, everyone is talking 350/350R and all cheering the recent new videos of ZL1/Z28/1LE on youtube, while silently that GT500 is under the radar... ford has an easy mission let the GT500 put up close to Z06 numbers, the Camaro will not dare touch those.... I hope I'm wrong, but the next 6 months are going to be very interesting.

I agree with everything you said. Ford pissed on the ZL1's parade in 2012 and Chevy has historically been predicable. Just assume the Camaro will get the Vette engine and beat that.

The gen5 Z/28 was a 100% effort and the gen6 so far has surprised everyone. I'm hoping Chevy will have more surprises and go all out with the 1LE, Z/28 and ZL1. Payback for 2012

Fully agree! The Goodyears on the G5 ZL1 were rubish.
