I figure most folks probably saw this already, but I heard multiple people ask (including me) what attendance was. Thought I'd share in case anyone who was interested missed this post.

Not a bad turnout! We probably put close to $500,000 into the local economy over three days.

Hey it was good getting the car back out and seeing as many people as I did yesterday at Tom's!

Ok, here are the minutes from last weeks meeting.

A recap of some of the club events we've had so far this year:
-We took a cruise to Tupelo to visit the car museum and have lunch.
-We attended the Super Chevy show at MIR, and were treated to very nice accomodations.
-We took an overnight trip to Bowling Green, KY. and visited the Corvette museum. The hotel cancelled the breakfast buffet after we left.
-We attended and volunteered at Camarofest in Bowling Green, KY. AND we took the Corvette assembly plant tour (we may never be welcome there again...but that's another story!), watched Eric eat a hamburger from hell, and laughed when he snuck back later for dessert (yeah, Eric, we knew the hat was just an excuse!).

Some of the future events we discussed are:

Lambert's. Adam is going to organize this, but can only attend if we do it on a Sunday (for some reason he thinks work comes first. Sheesh!). There is a poll on the Facebook page for dates everyone can attend. The date range is the end of October or the beginning of November. Please vote on the FB page, or contact Adam F., Eric F., or Cooley to vote if you can't get on FB.

Bluff City Shootout. We have been called out for the shootout with Bluff City Mustangs on Sep. 25th!! It's at MIR, so be there!! William has the details, and we have to make a good show this year!

Poker Run. We don't know whether Cars and Coffee will have a poker run this year, and we doubt it will happen; but if we hear anything, we'll post it as soon as possible.

Tail of the Dragon Run. There is a group organizing a run on Oct. 17th. The info is on the FB page. If you are interested, contact Adam, Eric, or Cooley for details.

Bluff City Camaro/ Mustangs Cruise. We are talking about coordinating with the mustang group to do a cruise together and totally mess up a bunch of people's minds! William said they are very interested in doing something with us as a bunch of car enthusiasts and friends. We are open to suggestions and were discussing possibly making a trip to Reelfoot for catfish, or to the Mississippi river to eat at a restaurant.

Mini Cruises. We want to continue mini cruises. These are meant to be short notice cruises around town, or the area so people can get together when they just want to spend some time enjoying thier cars and friends just driving around and maybe going to dinner or an event. These cruises can be started by any active member and aren't official club events which require a bunch of red tape.

We're looking at maybe having a Christmas party at Bobby's house this year. We'll decide pretty soon...just ask the camaro5 moderators when soon is...

We're having a Walking Dead watching party at Cooley and Bar's house on Oct. 11th. It's on a Sunday evening, it isn't a costume party, but you are welcome to dress up if you like. The cats will be hiding in another room.

Christmas City Cruise. We discussed having a cruise through Christmas City to see the lights and decorations. We haven't set a date yet. Get with Eric, Adam, or Cooley with dates you can make it.

Also, if you would like to do Trunk or Treat at Shelby Farms, let Alvin, Mark, Sarah, or Cooley know. We need to get going on this soon. If you want to go, or would like to donate candy, we will need a LOT of candy! We each went through probably ten bags last year and still ran out. (I think Alvin was giving out double handfuls when he wasn't light saber dueling all the kids!)

Some local events you may wish to check out:
-Car and Bike show at the millington airshow on Sep. 26 and 27
-Collierville P.D. and Central Church car show in Collierville on Sep. 19th
-Mustangs of Memphis Car Show on Oct. 3

Otherwise, we all talked nonsense, played practical jokes and ate WAY too much at Cracker Barrel! I don't care how much we tipped...it wasn't enough!

If you are on the fence about coming to an event, jump off that fence and come along! We are always needing more friends and family!! As you know, we aren't a strict club, we're a bunch of Chevy people who just like doing things together and being friends.

Oh yeah, if I forgot to post anything here...just let me know!

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.
