I got mine just for car shows. I have made 0 adjustments to mine since I installed them a year ago. If it was not for shows, I would not have them. But car shows love them and non car enthusiasts flip out when they see them. Structurally, they are probably stronger - that s a big piece of metal. If you are going to track or drag it, it is un-necessary weight. Reselling it will likely be harder. When others get in an out of your car and fling it open and are not as cautious, you will have panic attacks at the thought of them getting out of alignment. When you get tires, oil changed, etc or anything that requires someone else to get behind the wheel, you have to have a talk with the salesmen about getting in/out of the car. Unless you are ready for this, then avoid them.

ok, let me change my original post. every time I see lambo doors, I shake my head and think to myself "wow, that looks horrible. the owner must be a douche!"

I've never met someone who installed lambo doors...but I can typically look at how they're dressed or how they act and know immediately that I don't care to meet them. they could be the coolest guy in the world, but my stereotype has already been made
You might want to go ahead and plan to stay away from any of the car shows or auto events here in Houston then, or Texas or anywhere else for that matter. There are as many varieties in Camaro's and the auto community as accessories for women and I have met more wonderful people than I could possibly count had I prejudged any of them.

Especially the driver of a 370Z on Sunday with our Galveston cruise of 200+ cars. The guy looked like John Coffee from The Green Mile (Michael Duncan RIP 2012) I kid you not and I thought he was going to rip me a new one for cutting him off avoiding traffic. No, he chased me into a gas station to start raving on my exhaust (NPP wth??) and wanted to show me his slammed and cambered vert Z. It ended really well and we both made new friends.

I can't comment on the Lambo doors. I was taught that if you don't have anything good to say to not say anything at all. So my lips are sealed.

My 2 cents on these is that they're really not that bad. I wouldn't put these on, but they're definitely attention grabbers, and you'll get some ooohs and aaaahs. To me its a sign that the owner has probably put a lot of money in their car. I respect others and the decisions they make when they mod their cars... they're just not for me.

I have a nice car (in my opinion) but it's not a "show car." neither are 99% of the other cars in the parking lots around Houston. I'm more into the race scene I guess. I enjoy going to the drag strip and hanging out. I go to some of the local G2G's every now and then for fun, and I'll get along and have fun with everyone (even the imports lol). I'm getting too old to fit in with the "car scene" around here and im only 31! lots of crazy teenagers in my area with 1 ton jacked up diesels trying to do donuts in the parking lot next to my classic Camaro. no thanks.

I like the idea of suicide doors.

Obviously the only reason anyone would want lambo doors, is because, in their mind, they are still cool.

I think you are about 15 years late from when they were cool. They got ruined when fast and furious came out, and lots of teenagers with beater cars with rust, bondo, primer paint, had lambo doors with their body kit, and 9" coffee can exhaust

I know I gladly will. The 5th gen camaro is too new to be in a car show, along with the 370z

The newest cars that should be in a car show is a 1987 grand national, Monte Carlo, or third gen camaro

These brand new car, car shows you speak of are more like just randoms forming a car club, or a car night, these aren't classics, which by definition is what car shows were originally intended for
