I still have XM?

so I bought my car used about 3.5 months ago, it's a 2012 and I normally listen to my phone but I started checking out the radio and noticed I have serval XM stations, the dealership didn't say anything to me about it. I know when you buy them new you get so many month free but why do I still have it activated?

I don't know about on a used car but my 2014 2SS came with one year free of XM radio. Perhaps they're honoring the full year as though it were a new purchase?

Had to be it..

Mine just stopped due to the "preview" thing they had for the last couple weeks :(. Otherwise I'll just listen to it via my phone.

Only other possibility is that somehow, lets say in January, radio was cancelled. XM then broadcasts a sign for 3-6 months to tell the radio to stop playing.

If for some reason car was in a garage or was just not turned on, radio doesn't get signal and you get free XM because they stop sending signal after some period of time.

There are other ways too - google "how to get free xm"
