Hi, all.

Just posting this in the off chance that someone out there see's my car. My Camaro was stolen last night from underneath my carport in Fremont.

Sh*ts getting crazy in Nor Cal...

wow sorry about that. they should really do bait Camaro cars in norcal, sounds like its just getting nuts up there. I will keep my eyes open down in socal.

damnit. i hope these thieves get what they deserve. does anyone know if they are still stealing camaros at the rate we were hearing about the past year or 2? has any law enforcement made any statements on progress or anything at all? just trying to be in the know on this. bait cars should be made

Yes the rate is still pretty consistent and law enforcement knows all about who and where this is happening, have even locked up a handful of people for it but because theft is not a violent crime apparently it is a slap on the wrist and they are back out at it again, the issue is that it's just to easy to do, one guy figures it out, tells a buddy... Who tells his buddy, and so on. We were actually shown exactly how they are stealing our cars and it's so unsophisticated and simple that anyone without a conscience and a hacked ecm could do it. Only good option is revelco. Or have a v6 like me

For the op. Be watching craigslist for parts to pop up and if you see any don't contact the seller contact the task force noted above. They will take care of it from there

Thank those CA voters who voted for the "Safe Schools and Neighbood Act" (Prop 47) last year.

Many property crimes (theft, burglary, receiving stolen property, etc.) and drug offenses were reduced to misdemeanors.

Well, I got a call from my insurance company this afternoon...

CHP called my insurance and let them know that they busted a chop shop in Rancho Cordova. In said shop was my engine, transmission and various other parts. Though the body of my car is still nowhere to be found

I pretty much knew this would be the outcome, but it still hurts when confronted with the fact.

Only thing left is to work out the ACV with the insurance and then move on. Sad end to my 5th gen life.

Make sure and take care of your 5th Gens guys and gals...you'll definitely miss them when they're gone.

Maybe I'll see you all on Camaro6.com in year or so...

Thats sucks... i stay at my pops house in Fremont sometimes and I'm always a little on edge when I'm out that way.....

Did you just the stock alarm or did you have an aftermarket one?....
