You shift while turning? Seems like a good way to get sideways!

I guess I see this differently. They didn't mention any of these issues when promoting their product and now act as if its normal. I don't see this as normal at all and consider it defective.

It should work as they say period and I shouldn't have to worry if the car is going to start or if I need to hot plug it to clear codes. Don't get me wrong I love what it does when it works but not happy that these known issues are considered normal.

I agree. I will just have to grit my teeth every time v4 mode comes in. Had I found this thread prior to my purchase I would have decided against it. As for bringing it in due to the transmission issue, it was too late. I dropped it off at the dealership the same day it gave me issues. They actually found a bad sensor as well as the rev code. Blessing in disguise I guess...

Not really I was kidding because the paddles should be on the column not the wheel IMHO but now that the car is tuned the ass kicks out all the time when turning and going from 1-2. So I have to go a bit easier when doing that then before... I'm not saying thats a bad thing but it requires attention is all

I doubt it had anything to do with your tranny issue...

I didn't rev the car past 6,200 RPMs and no one else drives it.. I'm using process of elimination.

I hear you but the bottom line is GM's Godawful AFM is the root cause of this issue. A workaround shouldn't be required for a performance car like this. I would strongly suggest you consider tuning the L99. It will obviously solve the AFM problem and in the process give you a whole other car.

I decided to say stuff the warranty I want the car I should have gotten. No regrets so far...

I understand that I'm just saying the sensor caused the problem not the Range is all.

Turbo lag is a god awful thing to have on a performance car as well but it's been accepted.

I suppose but I have never experienced that. I think that is less of an issue nowadays with the improved turbos... I really hated the farting and spluttering of the AFM coming off when going back to V8 but I realize not everyone might be as sensitive to that as I am.

As to the Range it is blocking the signal to engage AFM and it has to use the same bus as other commands to do so. That is why it throws codes sometimes especially on cars with the electric power steering 2013 and up I believe they are...
