You will love your car and that trip.

Just make sure when you ask an older couple to take a picture of you with your car that you stress to them the goal is to get a picture of the car that just happens to have you in it. The couple that took our picture obviously did not understand how into our car we are and focused on us instead of the car so they cut off the back half

I did not notice this until I got back to Ohio and I will probably never get that car back on that mountain. Seems a lot of people just don’t understand how people can get emotionally attached to a car.

Not very far, as you can see we are not young athletic people and the walk up did not bother us at all. Once you get up there you will walk across a mile high bridge in the picture below that swings and creeks as you walk across it, kind of cool with a great view.

I love the pictures! I was just driving on Skyline Drive in Shenandoah yesterday actually, and had thought that it would be fun to drive it again when I get my Camaro. Actually, I'd like to drive the entire length of the Blue Ridge parkway sometime...now THAT would be fun. Ending up in the Smokies would be another bonus (I did some hiking there a couple of years ago, I love that place.)

Great pics. I am going there on a motorcycle trip from upstate new york in 3 weeks. Riding the entire blue ridge parkway and then onto Gatlinburg, TN. And then a week of riding the Great Smoky mountains. Can't wait. Last year did the trip down skyline drive and then onto gatlinburg. Meeting up with like 120 other can-am spyder riders.
