The door opener is made by "Home Link." www.homelink.com GM and Chrysler and several other car makers use the same unit. I'm not sure how to buy one directly, but this is the company website.

Thank you!

While none of the aftermarket solutions shown have the same appearance as what's been shown in other's Camaros, I at least have a price point to work with now.

Will see if I can make contact with the company to find out if a "stock" unit for the Camaro can be bought after the fact.

There's a few on eBay.

http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?n...642823&alt=web

http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?n...379075&alt=web

There may be more. I just quickly searched Camaro maplight -LED. I threw the -LED in there or else I'd get a thousand listings for led Bulbs as well.

The plug may be there for power, but if not, it's just 12 volts and ground. I replaced the roof console in my Saturn Aura with one with homelink.

I've got a couple dealerships looking for me but am wondering if anyone here knows if this option was actually ever offered on any 5th gen Camaro? My '04 Impala had this and I miss it greatly. Yeah, I know, there are lots of other mods.....
If you don't mind spending some money, but doing it right, go to .... www.gen5diy.com ....and under the "Chevrolet" tab just pick your Gen5 camaro & the next menu has .... DIY kits .... in there you will find the complete kit to install the homelink.

FYI, Homelink is standard in 2LT, 2SS, and ZL1. Not sure about Z28.

This site I could hit and thank you very much . This is exactly what I'm looking for. The homelink site shows after-market modules that aren't much like what Chevrolet installs.

It would be nice to get a look at the titanium colored O/H Console. I'll see if I can contact them and get a picture of it.

I'm all about doing it "right". What I think is right may not be exactly the same as others. In this case I'm all over this.

Thanks again, @15CamaroRS2LT

Well, it will soon be "standard" in my 1LT. At least if I get my way anyway.

Hello I'm trying to setup the homelike in my 2LT and I'm having an issue. When I start the process I don't get any light when I press any of the buttons. Does everyone else's light up? Is there something I need to purchase in order to make this work?

I changed my basic roof center console to a homelink roof console and taped into a hot wire in the roof wire harness and it worked perfectly. I also changed the basic rear view mirror to an auto dimming mirror and plugged the wire harness in and I had the auto dimming feature without adding any wire harness to it.

I think I have a couple of roof center consoles with the homelink 3-button.

If you have the switches (module) installed, you shouldn't have to buy anything else to make it work. Not sure what the problem could be; if I remember correctly, you have to hold the button you want to program down for several seconds before you can program it to work.

I believe the unit itself is no longer working. I was able to pull it down and check the wiring with a volt meter and I am getting 12v there. So I believe it's dead. Unfortunately the part is more than I am looking to spend to get it working. If I could find the part for cheap I would replace it.

I think I have a couple of roof center consoles with the homelink 3-button.

Does that mean you are willing to sell a roof center console with the homelink 3-button? If so, how much? I need one.
