Just Bought a New (To Me) Camaro

I just bought a 2010 2SS Camaro with 40,000 miles. Silver with black racing stripes and automatic transmission. I got it home and realized the previous owner had installed a K&N cold air intake, Pypes Pype Bomb muffler delete, and really dark window tint. I also discovered mine also has the RS package which the dealership knew nothing about.

I'm interested in doing some initial small exterior modifications and wanted to gauge what you guys think of these and if there are any pictures out there of what they look like on a silver car. I got a warranty with the car, so trying to stay away from mechanical stuff for now.

Gill Stripes
Mail Slot Stripe
Trunk Blackout Stripe
Painting the Factory Wheels Black
Headlight Covers or Tint

What do you guys think, and any other suggestions of what might look awesome without spending a bunch of money?

I did the headlight tint at 20%. It's coming off. Dimmed the light too much. Actually it's coming off today when I get home from work.

Welcome and congrats on the new ride....post some pictures when you can. As far as the cosmetic mods you've listed, you will get a lot of opinions, but it really comes down what you like and think looks best.

I want to give the headlights a dark/black look without significantly dimming the light. I have seen the covers. Do those work well?

Thanks! Yeah I know, but it seems like with every car there are modifications that are taboo or seen as cheasy among other owners.

I did my headlights with big worm graphix in gun smoke. Lights are still bright so no problem there.

Welcome to the forum. I really like black wheels, so that is what I would do first. After that I would probably do the tint.

Congrats! You mention that the dealership didn't know about the RS package. Was it a non-GM dealership?

Yeah, it was a Dodge dealership. I got home and started looking at specs from the different models and noticed that the RS package included red SS emblems. I thought "hey mine has red SS emblems" and went and checked and it also has the painted roof trim, halo HID's, darker tail lights, and the midnight silver wheels. I took my vin and checked and sure enough it has the "K" 2SS/RS code.

I have always loved Camaro's. In high school I had a 1978 silver Camaro with blue racing stripes.
