Clean your $!@#

Okay. I mean this 70% jokingly and 30% serious. We all have some great looking cars. The only ugly camaro's I've seen are the ones with the 40 inch rims. I understand that everyone has a life and what that entails, but CLEAN YOUR %##%. LOL. Now, I dont mean to put a fellow Camaro owner on blast, but I feel I must bring it to the forefront. I hope the owner is apart of this forum and reads this.

I drive a truck for a living and every other day I pick up a load in Murfreesboro TN at General Mills. Almost everyday I see one of the best looking Black 1LE's I've ever seen. Gorgeous car. Absolutely gorgeous. But, its always and I mean ALWAYS, FILTHY and that's an understatement. I always say to myself when i see it and i quote "I would never let my bumblebee get like that". Now, you cant own a Camaro and not take care of it. It equates to being a dead beat dad. We all have something great, that's considered an icon and whether or not we are willing to admit it, something we ALL like to show off. So, to all my fellow Camaro owners. CLEAN YOUR $!%@

I mean this more jokingly than serious. So try to keep everything in context.

It's a black car, what do you expect? Mine looks filthy ten minutes after it's washed.

I know you were referring to Camaros exclusively, but I ran an auto detail business for several years. Often times I would have customers that wanted to have thier one or two year old car detailed because they wanted to sell.
I was blown away at how trashed many people would let thier relatively new cars get. Anything from Lexus, Jags, to impalas and Minivans.

Cars are such a huge investment I can't imagine neglecting any of mine, even my daily driver.
Hell I even keep my lawnmower cleaner than most people keep thier cars.

If it bothers you that bad, look the owner up and offer to wash it for him.

He's probably tired of dealing with black and just said "F it".

I wash mine every weekend. Sometimes if it rains or just dusty I hit the touchless wash during the week. I don't have to drive it every day..but it is way more fun than the truck that gets more winter use.

I'm always out washing my car in the driveway and often wondered if the neighbors talk about me washing my car alot. So one day while washing it a little kid around 5 yrs old pulls up on his bike with training wheels on it and says "hey mister, you sure wash your car alot" I said yea I like to keep it clean. He says "mommy says your going to wash the paint off of it" lol, I guess my suspicions are true...

Yeah, I'm one of those too. Lol. Out where I live, I have to tho through about a quarter mile of dirt before I get home, then again to leave. Plus water prices just doubled to non-farmer zones. It sucks.

Living in Riverside is hard on trying to keep a car clean. We're in a valley and strong winds flow through here. Car sits for a day after a detailed wash, and its already got a layer of dust on it.

Unfortunately, I don't have a garage right now... I only have a carport, that at least keeps my car dry from the rain, and protected from the sun.

I don't dd my car, though some would say I do since I drive it usually Thu-Sun, while driving the company's F150 on Mon-Wed.

I've owned mine less than a month and it's already been washed by hand, 3 times. That deep blue shows dust bad and I can't take it looking dull. Came out from work this afternoon and there were what looked to be milk spots on the driver side and roof. I was all like WTF!? Soon as I got it home out came the microfiber towels, one wet the other dry. Hopefully, I still feel this way about it 2 years from now.

Been using a soap I had leftover from washing the bike. What do you all recommend for soap and wax?

Thanks Spec. I read about Adams detailing products several days ago but hadn't taken the time to look into them further.

While we're on the subject of cleaning our Camaros, I have the base 1LT and it appears some interior surfaces are leather while others are not. I'm no expert in cowhide so I'm wondering if anyone can tell me which specific areas I should keep the vinyl cleaners off of.

BTW Spec, I used to live not far from Riverside. In part of what is now called Moreno Valley but was then called Sunnymead. This was well before they turned the raceway into a Mall. Used to love tearing through Reche Canyon.

Chill out. It's not their problem they somewhat don't give a shit. I on the other hand do. It is impossible to keep a black car look clean for as long as let's say a red car. Black is kind of like an orgasm, euphoria when it's all clean and as soon as rain comes out of the clouds, bam it's all a boring pile of shit!

I do side with you though. Seeing my car dirty after it rains or the critical decision to not wash the dust off of it can't bother anyone as much as it does myself.
I know camaros aren't that big of cars, just low and hard to wash at a comfortable level. So I saw this smart car today. So damn filthy. If that was my car, man that would be easy/quick to wash. Just wash your damn smart, or mini, or solstice! It looks so damn easy, just do it!
