Yes our neighbors do criticize us or at least put us on spotlight. I'm actually starting to feel embarrassed about it. One of my neighbors said their kid keeps saying, "He's washing his car again!" She told her kid,"well i don't because our car is lame!" I mean what is so wrong with someone washing their car at 6 in the morning when it's still dark out, causing all the dogs around them to bark? Is it wierd to see someone blowing their car with a leaf blower? And what's so wrong with stepping back with a detail spray every 2 minutes to check and make sure you didn't miss any water spots.

Washed mine by hand a few weeks ago I guess? I'm sure I rinsed it between then and now. It's covered in dust right now. I've driven it around a while with muddy water down the doors and fenders, etc.

It's a car. I drive it. Gets parked in gravel if I bring it to work, I've 'offroaded' it in Missouri to go sight seeing, etc. It's covered in dust right now from mowing the grass and weather change and what not. I will clean it eventually.

I wax it twice a year, clean bird poo off if I see it, and any acidic bugs on it. Otherwise, washing it too many times is probably worse for it than leaving it dirty. I probably won't mess with it till our Camaro Halloween get together next weekend.

I keep the trash picked up and the interior wiped down and have fun, lol. I'm in no mood obsess about a less than perfect car.

While we're on the subject of cleaning our Camaros, I have the base 1LT and it appears some interior surfaces are leather while others are not. I'm no expert in cowhide so I'm wondering if anyone can tell me which specific areas I should keep the vinyl cleaners off of.

BTW Spec, I used to live not far from Riverside. In part of what is now called Moreno Valley but was then called Sunnymead. This was well before they turned the raceway into a Mall. Used to love tearing through Reche Canyon.
Nice... it ain't bad around here, just that after sitting for three days... car's a mess!

Oh yeah it rained today. To my stupidity, I am due for a waxing and I had loads of pollen/dust on it. It was sunny and 80 degrees out for hours later. I am freaking out to see what the clearcoat looks like now!!!!

I should seek professional help when it comes to my obsession with vehicle cleanliness. I've never allowed my Camaro to be rained on and never will. It's been washed about six times since I brought it home in July of 2014, the washing was mostly needed for brake dust on the wheels and to clean the underside. Yep, I detail the chassis and underside, glad to have that off my chest. I do my own maintenance so I clean when I'm under there. The engine bay always stays clean too. What can I say, it's just the way I am.

I think I can see a speck of dust (rushes off to power on electron microscope).

What kind of vacuum time capsule you put that in? Lol

Wait what is that on the passenger side of the upper front bumper(toward where it edged off to the grille)? Above bow tie in pic? Better be a reflection.

I Drive 10 hours a day, home every night. Live by myself so the weekend is when I do chores. Laundry and grocery shopping. Mine is dusty as hell right now but it's going to rain in two days. I usually get mine washed every two weeks. And a detail every 3 months. Black cars are definitely a pain.

I hermetically seal my garage after each outing.

False alarm, it was an ant.

I made a note when there are guests. "Can you kindly pick your feet up over the door sills when entering/exiting and not scratch up the plastic, thank you!"
